AGARTALA, AUG 7: In a press conference held at the Civil Secretariat today, Secretary of the Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA) Department, Shri Kiran Gitte, announced the comprehensive state-wide roadmap for the fifth edition of the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
Running from August 9 to 17, this year’s celebrations across Tripura will be dedicated to the theme of “Commemoration of 150 Years of Vande Mataram”.
Key Announcements from the ICA Press Meet
- Grand Launch on August 11: Hon’ble Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha will flag off a major state-level Tiranga Rally on August 11 at 4:30 PM from the historic Ujjayanta Palace. The procession will conclude at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan, followed by a Tiranga Concert and patriotic exhibition.
- Flag Supply & SHG Involvement: Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across districts are actively manufacturing National Flags in three sizes to meet local demand. Citizens can purchase flags at dedicated SHG stalls set up in every block and panchayat.
- Grassroots Mass Participation: Rallies, bicycle and motorcycle processions, lighting displays, and selfie points will be set up across all eight districts, blocks, and local panchayats.
- Public Call: The government appealed to households, private organizations, and educational institutions to proudly hoist the Tricolor to foster civic pride and honor national martyrs.
