AGARTALA, AUG 7: Marking a landmark milestone in the preservation of indigenous linguistic heritage, Tripura celebrated its first official “Chakma Language and Script Day” today at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala.
The state-level event was organized by the Directorate of Kokborok & Other Minority Languages under the School Education Department. The inaugural ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by key dignitaries, including Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and Industry & Commerce Minister Santana Chakma.
