AGARTALA | June 14, 2026: To commemorate the completion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic 12 years of central governance, a massive state-level Public Welfare Camp (Janakalyan Shibir) was officially inaugurated in the capital city today.
The high-profile event was jointly launched by Union Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal and Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha during a solemn plenary session at the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan on Sunday.
Celebrating Over a Decade of Inclusive Development and Good Governance
The state-wide welfare camp aims to accelerate the delivery of various central and state flagship benefits directly to grassroots beneficiaries. Addressing a crowded assembly of citizens, state officials, and social workers, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal lauded the Prime Minister’s vision of comprehensive national transformation, noting that the Northeast region has experienced an unprecedented infrastructure and economic boom over the past 12 years.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha reiterated that the state administration is working in absolute alignment with the central government’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas (Together with all, Development for all).
”Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has witnessed a golden era of governance over the last 12 years. This specialized public welfare camp at Rabindra Bhawan is a reflection of our commitment to ensuring that the last person in the social strata receives direct access to healthcare, housing, and financial safety nets without any institutional leakage,” Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha stated during his inaugural address.
Spot Enrollment and Benefit Distribution Drive Launched
Following the inaugural lamp-lighting ceremony, the dignitaries inspected multiple departmental stalls set up within the complex to facilitate spot verification and immediate grievance redressal for the public.
- Direct Benefit Distribution: The event witnessed the immediate distribution of specialized equipment, banking credits, and social security pension approvals to hundreds of pre-screened beneficiaries.
- State-Wide Rollout: Similar localized welfare sub-camps will operate systematically across all eight districts of Tripura over the coming weeks to guarantee maximum administrative outreach.
Senior cabinet ministers, chief administrative secretaries, and social leaders also attended the convention, collectively urging the public to utilize the month-long institutional window to secure their eligible welfare entitlements.
