AGARTALA: A massive wave of devotion swept through the capital city as thousands of devotees gathered to witness the historic Rath Yatra festival of the Sri Sri Jagannath Jiu Temple.
The main streets of Agartala turned into a sea of humanity as an ocean of eager devotees jostled to pull the ropes of the magnificent chariot of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra.
The grand procession commenced from the historic Jagannath Bari temple premises following traditional rituals, prayers, and the ceremonial sweeping of the chariot. Amid the echoing sounds of conch shells, beating drums, and chants of “Jai Jagannath,” the colossal chariot slowly rolled out onto the main roads.
Security was heavily tightened across the capital, and the administration made extensive arrangements to ensure the smooth movement of the massive crowd. Devotees from all walks of life, including children, women, and the elderly, lined the streets and balconies to catch a glimpse of the deities and seek their blessings, marking yet another year of unparalleled spiritual fervor in Tripura.
