AGARTALA: Marking a grand celebration of faith and unity, the 12th annual ISKCON Rath Yatra festival commenced today at the Purbasha premises in Agartala with immense religious fervor.
The auspicious event was graced by Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who officially flagged off the grand chariot procession. Along with other key dignitaries and senior leaders, both the Governor and the Chief Minister performed the sacred ritual of pulling the ropes of the holy chariot of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra.
Thousands of eager devotees gathered at the venue, chanting hymns and playing traditional musical instruments as the majestic chariot set out on its journey from the Purbasha complex. Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries extended their warm wishes to the people of Tripura, highlighting that the festival of Rath Yatra is a profound symbol of universal brotherhood, peace, and spiritual harmony that transcends all societal divisions.
