AGARTALA: Bringing a wave of joy and traditional fervor to the capital city, young children in Agartala have taken it upon themselves to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Jagannath Dev’s Rath Yatra.
With immense enthusiasm, groups of local kids designed and crafted their own miniature chariots (Raths) using cardboard, colorful paper, flowers, and clay. On the occasion of the festival, these young devotees pulled their handmade chariots through the streets and neighborhoods of Agartala, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with chants of “Jai Jagannath.”
Residents across the city stepped out of their homes to encourage the children, offering sweets, flowers, and small donations as the miniature processions passed by. This self-driven initiative by the city’s youth not only highlighted their creative talents but also showcased a deep-rooted connection to cultural traditions, keeping the spirit of Rath Yatra alive at the grassroots level.
