AGARTALA | August 1, 2026: On the occasion of the 22nd Foundation Day of Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC), a free health check-up camp was organized early Sunday morning at Heritage Park in Agartala. The medical outreach program was specifically tailored for morning walkers, senior citizens, and health enthusiasts visiting the prominent public park.
The health camp was conducted by a team of specialist doctors, post-graduate trainees, and medical personnel from AGMC and GBP Hospital, offering on-the-spot clinical evaluations and preventive health counseling.
Focus on Preventive Healthcare and Early Diagnosis
During the morning camp, hundreds of citizens participating in their routine morning fitness walks underwent free health screenings. The primary aim was to raise awareness about lifestyle disorders and promote routine health checks for early disease detection.
The medical services provided at the Heritage Park health camp included:
- Comprehensive Screening: Free blood pressure, blood sugar, pulse rate, and body mass index (BMI) tests.
- Specialist Consultation: General health advice and preventive cardiology consultation by attending AGMC physicians.
