In his comprehensive keynote address, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha emphasized that the era of geographical isolation is firmly over, and his administration has successfully instituted single-window clearings and land allocation systems that match the best ease-of-doing-business indices in the country.
”Today marks a historic turning point for our state’s economy. The ‘Destination Tripura: Business Conclave-2026’ is a concrete platform demonstrating that Tripura is open for large-scale global business. Under our double-engine model of governance, we have successfully modernized our highways, expanded our digital connectivity grids, and established the Sabroom Special Economic Zone (SEZ) to act as a direct commercial gateway to Southeast Asia. We are no longer a peripheral territory; we are the central logistics hub for the entire Northeast. The inaugural session was followed by high-level presentations led by the cabinet ministers, who detailed specific investor packages designed to capitalize on the state’s natural resource advantages:
- Industrial Powerhouses: Minister Ratan Lal Nath highlighted the availability of stable, clean energy reserves, inviting power-intensive manufacturing units and green energy solution providers to expand their footprints.
- Fiscal Resilience: Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy outlined the state’s healthy fiscal position, detailing tailored capital subsidies, power tariff rebates, and state-specific GST exemptions for long-term manufacturing plants.
