AGARTALA: In a major step toward building a transparent, accountable, and technology-driven administration, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Wednesday officially launched “YODDHA”, an innovative citizen engagement digital platform. The high-profile launch took place in the central Conference Hall of the Tripura Information and Transformation (TIFT) department at SP Mukherjee Lane in Agartala.
Following the launch, the Chief Minister utilized the digital setup to hold his signature “Mukhyamantri Samipeshu” public grievance redressal program, interacting virtually with citizens residing in remote parts of the state’s districts to address their immediate issues on the spot.
The launch event was attended by senior departmental directors, state IT specialists, and several high-profile administrative dignitaries.
Empowering Whistleblowers with Complete Anonymity
Developed as a proactive shield against deep-rooted social problems, the YODDHA website enables ordinary citizens to securely report critical social issues—including drug trafficking, child marriage, domestic violence, and child labor—with guaranteed 100% anonymity.
To ensure absolute user confidence, the state’s IT Department has completed a comprehensive security audit of the portal, while the National Informatics Centre (NIC) is hosting the site, ensuring high-tier data privacy protection to shield whistleblowers from potential retaliation.
During his address, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha reiterated his government’s stance on leveraging technology to make administration highly responsive to the common man’s needs.
”Our government is committed to making the administration fully transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric through the smart use of modern technology. Portals like ‘YODDHA’ empower ordinary people to actively partner with law enforcement and the state administration to eradicate social evils without fear. Simultaneously, virtual interactive formats like ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ ensure that the state’s support reaches remote corners instantly,” Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha stated.
During the virtual session of Mukhyamantri Samipeshu that followed, the Chief Minister heard the grievances of nearly 28 participants from the Kanchanpur sub-division of North Tripura. He issued immediate directives to the attending District Magistrate and local block development officers to resolve the public issues on a fast-track basis.
