The highly anticipated three-day Diwali fair and festival is just around the corner, set to take place at the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, Gomati District from October 20 to October 22. Officials have announced that preparations for the event are well underway, with a focus on ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
A meeting of the Diwali Fair and Festival Committee was recently held at the conference hall of the Gomati district administration, where State Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy presided. During the meeting, it was stressed that all departments and organizations must work together effectively to ensure the festival is celebrated beautifully and successfully.
Minister Roy also revealed that a vibrant cultural program featuring renowned artists from both within and outside the state is planned, along with stalls showcasing developmental initiatives from various departments. The Mata Tripura Sundari Temple will be extravagantly adorned with lights, and security arrangements have been carefully organized to ensure the safety of all participants.
To oversee the smooth running of the fair, a monitoring committee has been formed under the chairmanship of MLA Abhishek Debroy, along with 14 sub-committees dedicated to different aspects of the festival. The meeting was attended by Chairman Debal Debroy, MLA Jitendra Majumdar, Udaipur Municipal Council Chairperson Sheetal Chandra Majumdar, Additional District Magistrate Jayanta Chakraborty, and representatives from various departments.
