AGARTALA: Standing firmly in solidarity with a family in distress, the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) has stepped forward to provide critical financial assistance for the treatment of little Manushree, a young child hailing from the Hapania area near Agartala.
Manushree is scheduled to leave for New Delhi tomorrow to undergo advanced medical treatment. However, the specialized treatment requires a massive amount of funds, prompting the family to appeal to the public for financial support during this incredibly challenging phase.
Responding swiftly to the family’s plea, DYFI members and supporters launched a fundraising drive. Activists contributed online according to their capacity, while a door-to-door cash collection campaign was also organized across the locality. On Saturday, the collected funds were formally handed over to Manushree’s family.
The financial aid was presented by a delegation of senior youth leaders, including DYFI State Secretariat Member Gautam Ghosh, Dukli Divisional Committee Secretary Shubhankar Majumder, State Committee Member Bijoy Biswas, and Hapania Regional Committee Secretary Ashish Chakraborty.
Speaking on the occasion, DYFI state leader Gautam Ghosh wished little Manushree a speedy recovery. He also made an earnest appeal to all sections of society, urging kind-hearted and well-meaning citizens to extend their helping hands and contribute generously to save the child’s life.
