AGARTALA: In a major push toward fostering rural self-reliance and reviewing the distribution channels of key welfare initiatives, a high-profile state-level review meeting was convened today. The joint administrative session was held in the presence of Tripura’s Scheduled Castes Welfare, Animal Resources Development, and Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das at the central conference hall of the Sonar Tori State Guest House in Agartala.
The comprehensive evaluation meet brought together senior directors, sub-divisional administrative heads, and district-level project coordinators to evaluate ongoing progress under central and state-sponsored welfare projects.
The primarily focus of the meeting was to measure budget utilization, target milestones, and the real-world impact of animal husbandry, fisheries production, and target-driven SC welfare incentives across the districts for the active fiscal framework.
Addressing the senior departmental officials at the Sonar Tori conference hall, Minister Sudhangshu Das emphasized that the state government is committed to ensuring that welfare benefits reach the last person in the queue without delay. He directed officials to maintain transparency and act proactively to plug any existing operational loopholes.
”Our aim is to build a self-reliant Tripura by scaling up our internal fish, meat, dairy, and egg production. Parallelly, the fast-track delivery of social security schemes and educational stipends for Scheduled Caste families remains an absolute priority. Departmental heads must adopt a rigorous accountability mechanism to bridge infrastructural gaps on the ground,” Minister Sudhangshu Das stated.
During the interactive session, the Minister reviewed the on-ground execution of prominent schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, Mukhyamantri Matsya Vikas Yojana, and core grant-in-aid components under SC welfare initiatives. Officials provided statistical feedback on livestock vaccination coverage, modern fish-farming technology adoptions, and hostel infrastructure upgrades to further strengthen upcoming action plans.
