AGARTALA: In a commendable act of humanitarian service, the Usha Bazar Local Committee of the Tripura Tapasili Jati Samanway Samiti has stepped forward to support a highly vulnerable and distressed family in Lankamura. The delegation visited the residence of the late Haradhan Sarkar in Lankamura’s Debnath Para area to provide critical relief materials.
Essential food items and grocery supplies were formally handed over to the late Haradhan Sarkar’s wife, Tulsi Sarkar, and his son, Prosenjit Sarkar. Both mother and son suffer from severe mental health conditions. Following the demise of the sole breadwinner, the family has been left with absolutely no source of income, forcing them to rely entirely on the charity and ad-hoc assistance of kind-hearted neighbors for their daily survival.
Recognizing their extreme plight, leadership from the organization rushed to the spot with immediate relief. The humanitarian initiative was led by Tripura Tapasili Jati Samanway Samiti State Committee Member Comrade Angad Biswas, along with senior organization representatives.
Other prominent leaders of the organization present during the distribution program included Sadar Sub-Divisional Committee Member Comrade Arun Malakar, Swapan Sarkar, Shimul Sarkar, and Mithu Das, alongside several active local youth workers. The committee members interacting with the neighbors assured them that they would continue to monitor the family’s condition and look into securing institutional government welfare benefits to support them in the long run.
