AGARTALA: As part of the nationwide Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a major awareness program was held at Sakhicharan School in Agartala to educate the youth on the severe dangers of substance abuse and to drive the mission toward a drug-free society.
The event brought together key civic and local leaders, including West Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Biswajit Shil, Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Deputy Mayor Monika Das Datta, and Post Committee Secretary Sukanta Ghosh, alongside other distinguished guests.
Addressing a large gathering of students and local residents, the dignitaries made a strong appeal to the younger generation to stay completely clear of narcotics and addictive substances. They urged youth to redirect their focus toward education, sports, and constructive social endeavors that contribute positively to nation-building.
The speakers highlighted that eradicating addiction requires a unified effort from families, educational institutions, and local governance. Reinforcing the vision of a healthier state, they emphasized that a prosperous and developed India (Viksit Bharat) is intrinsically linked to a Nasha Mukt (addiction-free) youth.
