Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha recently attended a voluntary blood donation camp at Agartala’s Pragna Bhavan, where he interacted with donors and emphasized the importance of regular blood donation to save lives. The camp was organized by the Tripura State Blood Transfusion Council (TSBTC) and saw active participation from various sections of society.
During the event, Saha inaugurated the camp by lighting the ceremonial lamp and visited the donor area to appreciate the spirit of volunteerism among the participants. He commended the efforts of the donors and stressed the significance of maintaining Tripura’s position as a leader in blood donation in the country.
Earlier, on April 26, Saha spoke at the inauguration of a blood donation camp organized by the Deed Writers’ Association in Agartala. He highlighted the government’s commitment to the welfare of the people and praised the association for their social responsibility in organizing the camp.
Saha also mentioned the importance of blood banks in the state, noting that Tripura currently has 14 blood banks, with plans to establish more in the future. He highlighted the advancements in blood classification systems and underscored the government’s efforts to improve the overall welfare of the citizens.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude towards the Deed Writers’ Association for their initiative in organizing the blood donation camp, stating that their efforts would send a positive message to society.
