AGARTALA: In a major organizational move aimed at countering the ruling BJP narrative and mobilizing the state’s youth, the Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress hosted its first high-profile State Executive Meeting today. The strategic meeting was held at the Agartala Students’ Health Home on Sunday, drawing an impressive crowd of newly elected representatives, field workers, and national political heavyweights.
The executive assembly served as a platform for top leaders to launch a blistering attack against the Central and State governments over rising unemployment, economic distress, and recent nationwide exam irregularities.
National and State Leadership Under One Roof
The meeting witnessed a massive display of organizational unity, spearheaded by the top brass of the national and state Congress wings.

“Talent is Being Sold Under BJP Rule”: Sudip Roy Barman
Delivering a fiery speech that set the tone for the executive roadmap, senior MLA Sudip Roy Barman slammed the Narendra Modi-led Central government, particularly referencing the current national outrage over the recent NEET-UG question paper leak crisis.
”The situation of the country is in deep turmoil. Under this regime, we are witnessing a literal ‘sale of talent’ where the hard work of honest students is traded for money. The economy is compromised, and our foreign policy is a complete failure. People are rapidly realizing their mistakes. To save the democratic fabric of our nation, our youth must unite and lead the charge from the frontlines,” Shri Sudip Roy Barman asserted.
Strengthening the Grassroots Network
National IYC President Uday Bhanu Chib and In-charge Manish Sharma focused their addresses on the upcoming structural blueprint for Tripura’s youth wing.
- Booth-Level Mobilization: The central leadership directed the state unit to immediately form cohesive committees at every voting booth across all 60 assembly constituencies.
- Highlighting Local Issues: Youth workers were instructed to build aggressive local campaigns around regional crises, including the ongoing fuel shortage, skyrocketing grocery prices, and lack of government recruitment drives.
- Digital Outreach: A specialized digital tracking mechanism was discussed to monitor youth enrollment and amplify the party’s grassroots campaigns on social media.
Call for Complete Unity
TPCC President Ashish Kumar Saha and CLP Leader Birajit Sinha exhorted the youth wing to work in tandem with the main organizational tier. They noted that the Youth Congress is the “fighting arm” of the party and its performance will dictate the success of the opposition in upcoming local and state-level democratic challenges.
The day-long executive session concluded with the formal adoption of resolutions condemning the current fuel crisis in Agartala and demanding a transparent, judicial probe into the recruitment processes of private and public sectors across the state.
