Tripura is fully prepared and operating in line with the directives issued by the Central government to enhance border vigilance, Chief Minister Manik Saha said on May 10.
The chief minister, who also holds the Home portfolio, chaired a high-level meeting at his official residence on Thursday evening, focusing on strengthening surveillance along the India-Bangladesh border.
The meeting, held behind closed doors and lasting over an hour, was attended by senior officials from the Border Security Force, Assam Rifles, BSF, Tripura Police, and other paramilitary forces, as well as representatives from intelligence agencies.
CM Saha emphasized the importance of seamless coordination among security forces and instructed them to maintain strict vigilance along the international border.
“We are working strictly in accordance with the guidelines provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. The state is fully prepared,” he said.
With tensions rising along the border, Tripura is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of its residents. The chief minister’s proactive approach and commitment to following the directives from the Center demonstrate the state’s readiness to tackle any potential threats.
