AGARTALA: In a major push toward “Paperless Governance” and administrative transparency, Minister Sudhangshu Das officially launched the ‘My Sarathi’ application today. The ceremony took place at the Minister’s office in the Civil Secretariat, attended by senior officials from the three departments under his portfolio: Scheduled Caste (SC) Welfare, Fisheries, and Animal Resources Development (ARD).
The ‘My Sarathi’ app is designed as a centralized Digital Data Monitoring Platform to track the implementation of government schemes and the daily progress of departmental activities.
Key Features of ‘My Sarathi’ App
The application aims to bridge the gap between high-level planning and ground-level execution through technology.
- Real-Time Data Access: Concerned officials can now access comprehensive data instantly, eliminating the traditional delays caused by manual file processing.
- Progress Tracking: The app will host detailed information regarding the status of various ongoing projects, upcoming plans, and the physical realization of targets.
- Meeting Management: A unique feature of the app includes the digital storage of Minutes of Meetings (MoM). This will allow the departments to evaluate the outcomes of previous discussions and ensure accountability in subsequent reviews.
- Public Impact: While primarily an administrative tool, the platform is expected to lead to faster service delivery and better grievance redressal for the general public.
“Transparency is Our Priority”: Sudhangshu Das
Speaking at the launch, Minister Sudhangshu Das emphasized that the Tripura government is committed to a corruption-free and efficient work culture.
”Under the leadership of our Chief Minister, we are moving toward a digital ecosystem where every action is recorded and monitored. ‘My Sarathi’ will act as a digital guide for our officers. It ensures that data is not just collected but utilized to make informed decisions. This transparency will ultimately build greater trust among the citizens we serve,” Minister Sudhangshu Das stated.
The Digital Shift in ARD and Fisheries
The launch is particularly significant for the Fisheries and Animal Resources Development sectors, where real-time tracking of livestock distribution, pond management, and subsidy disbursement is critical for rural farmers. By digitizing the SC Welfare department, the government also aims to streamline the distribution of scholarships and welfare benefits for the marginalized sections of society.
Present at the Ceremony:
- Secretary Deepa D. Nair (IAS)
- Director Neeraj Kumar Chanchal
- Other high-ranking officials from the three respective directorates.
The Minister concluded the session by instructing all department heads to ensure that data is updated on the platform daily to maintain the integrity of the monitoring system.
